Chair's Letter

Dear Fellow Democrats:

The June 5, 2012 Primary Election is just over a month away and there are many critical issues on the ballot at the local and state level.

The San Mateo County Democratic Party has issued endorsements for local races including the election for County Supervisor and many local measures.

In the contested election for the 4th District Supervisorial seat the Party has endorsed Shelly Masur.

Masur currently serves on the Redwood City School District Board of Trustees. She is the immediate past president of the San Mateo County School Boards Association and is an elected member of the California School Boards Association's Delegate Assembly. Ms. Masur was first elected to the Redwood City School Board in 2005.

Ms. Masur holds a Master's Degree in Public Health and has over 15 years of experience in non-profit management focusing on adolescent and youth services.

We are honored to welcome Congresswoman Jackie Speier as our Keynote Speaker.

The event will also feature special guest speakers Lupe Rodriguez, Director of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte and Kimberly Ellis, Executive Director of Emerge California.

Event attendees will learn more about the essential work of these local organizations and how to get involved.
