The South Asians of Indian descent in the Bay Area are having a get together in honor of Mahatma Gandhi, whose Birthday Anniversary will be observed at the San Mateo County Democratic Campaign Headquarters on Wednesday October 1, at 7:00pm. Everyone is invited to celebrate the shared heritage of Indian, Fijian, & Pakistani cultural groups. Talks on video by Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Barack Obama will be shown. There will also be speeches by prominent Bay Area Community leaders and Mary Evans, a long time Community Activist, will grace the occasion.
